Upon earning his law license, Alejandro Martinez worked as a prosecutor for the Dallas City Attorney’s Office and Williamson County Attorney’s Office for 4 years before deciding to open his own criminal defense practice.
As a prosecutor, Alejandro handled thousands of criminal cases, honing his skills in case evaluation, negotiation, trial preparation, and trial. Further, he is extremely well-versed in the techniques and thought processes of the prosecution.
Alejandro utilizes his comprehensive understanding of Texas criminal prosecutions to fight for his clients. His background is your strength; if there is a legal problem with your case, Alejandro will find it.
Alejandro is a lifelong Texan. He was born and raised in San Antonio, attended college at the University of Texas at Austin and law school at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
During law school, Alejandro developed a passion for criminal law and trial. Upon passing the bar, he initially pursued these passions by working as a prosecutor for the Dallas City Attorney’s Office. There he worked to develop his trial skills and learn as much as possible about being a successful advocate in the courtroom. In 2015, Alejandro began working as a prosecutor for the Williamson County Attorney's Office, often carrying more than 1000 cases at a time, including DWI, drug possession, family violence, theft, assault and more.
Now, Alejandro is an Austin criminal defense attorney. He is proud to defend clients throughout Travis, Williamson and Hays counties. This includes the cities of Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, San Marcos and more. He believes that everyone is entitled to a zealous defense and he uses his knowledge and experience to make sure that's exactly what his clients get.
In his free time, Alejandro enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his friends and family, including his pup “Bella.”
Ivan LePendu obtained his law license in 2006 and since then has focused his career in criminal law. Ivan worked as a prosecutor for Washington County and Salt Lake County in Utah as well as Williamson County in Texas. He also owned his own criminal defense practice in Utah where he defended clients in County, District, Municipal and Federal Courts. As such, Ivan has extensive experience handling felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases from both sides of the bar. This experience allows Ivan to see cases from all angles and is a strength he utilizes to obtain the best possible result for all of his clients.
Before moving to Texas, Ivan attended the University of Utah for both undergraduate and Law School while also earning an MBA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
During law school, Ivan focused on criminal law. He volunteered with the United States Attorney's Office, Utah District during his second year, and participated in the Criminal Clinic with Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office during his third year. Prior to graduation, Ivan had already handled three jury trials under the Third Year Practice Rule and after graduation, he continued to expand his criminal law experience handling thousands of juvenile, misdemeanor and felony cases. He has handled traffic offenses, drug crimes, theft offenses, burglaries, assaults, family violence, gun crimes, DWIs, sex offenses and more.
Ivan eventually moved to Texas for his family and has settled in Williamson County with his wife and two young children. He is proud to defend clients throughout Central Texas, including Travis, Williamson, Bell and Coryell Counties. This includes the cities of Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, Taylor, Temple, Killeen, Gatesville, Austin and more. Ivan believes that everyone should have the best possible defense and he uses his knowledge and experience to ensure that's exactly what his clients get.
When not in court, Ivan's passion is Rugby. He is active in the Texas Rugby Referee Society, and has had the opportunity to referee across the country in Utah, California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and New York. Ivan is proud to now be a Texan, but still enjoys visiting family in Utah and snowboard whenever he gets the chance. He also loves spending time with his friends and family.
